Bible Blocks

Friends, quilting, a light luncheon, and stories  on a Sunday afternoon – all the elements needed for a time of fun & relaxation, in an environment of creativity. The last Sunday afternoon of the month, from 2 – 4 PM, women gather to enjoy each other’s company over a tasty luncheon served on fine bone china, orchestrated by Shannon McClinchey. Every year an original quilt design unfolds as we receive a new block pattern for the month, which Jan Burney has designed. The quilt has a Biblical theme and each of the blocks tie into that theme. Beth Schmidt weaves the story from the Bible from which each block is derived. This year’s theme is, “The Names of Jesus”

Quilting is optional, so all are welcome, quilters and non-quilters alike. There is plenty of room at the table for you!

She looks for wool and fine flax, and works with her hands in delight...She makes coverings for herself...Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her the product of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates. – from Proverbs 31.
